All shows have a one drink minimum standing, two drink minimum seated.
This is a night that will awaken all your sensibilities, including some you didn't know you had. I'm playing a set of music alongside musicians Jason Trachtenburg, Ben Pagano, & Marzipan. But wait! Also Poetry by Matt Proctor, Ashley Escobar, puppetry from Mother Pigeon's Impeccable Puppet Show and a performance art by Edward Pankov. All that magic for just $10.
I LOVE house concerts. They are such a magical way to experience music for both fans and artists. If you would like to have me perform for you and a group of friends in your own home, drop me an email and we can discuss what works best for you! There are so many ways to do it. andrea@andreawittgens.com.
So happy to be participating in another American Folk Art Museum Concert Series. This is an online show so you can join us from where ever you are! I'll have more details on my fellow performers, links etc very soon!
NOTE: Doors at 7pm and music from 8-10pm. The Delaware Valley Opera company has a cool new cabaret stage for acoustic shows called "Arts Nest" in Lake Huntington, NY and I'm playing an intimate two-set acoustic show there with guest vocalist supreme Lena Kaminsky. It's Saturday, December 2nd at 7pm. The cover is $20 and I'll have lots of Southpaw Ink artwork for sell, include freshly printed journals, small framed originals and art prints as well (I have to say they make great gifts!). See you there, bring a friend!
$20
This is an acoustic concert and fundraiser for my new album hosted by friends in their home. Space is limited so please email me at andrea@andreawittgens.com if you're interested in attending. And if you'd like to host a future concert, I'd love to chat too!
This is a beautiful one-of-kind venue that feels a bit like secret Roman ruins in the middle of upstate NY. I can't wait to play here from magic hour on into the evening (6-9pm). Once again, I'll be joined by vocalist Lena Kaminsky. The Pumphouse also has pretty amazing food trucks so come hungry and thirsty. And this show is FREE!
This will be a magical night! The fireflies at Willi Hill are known to be epic and this year our hosts, Diane and Bob, are inviting folks to come witness them firsthand while listening to live music under the stars (provided by yours truly, joined by vocalist Lena Kaminsky). Arrive between 7:30-8pm. It's BYOB and blankets/chairs. $10 suggested donation.
A night of cabaret inspired by the iconic Eurythmic's soundtrack "1984". This is the opening night of The Deep Water Literary Festival whose focus this year is, you guessed it: George Orwell's "1984". In a nod from the goddess serendipity, I have a single of my own called "1984" coming out later this summer and will be performing it at the cabaret. I'll be joined by Lena Kaminsky and other performers include: Bank of Ireland, Anna Copacabanna, Luke Forbes, Julia Greenberg, Julian Jimenez, Pond Wave, and Lyra Vaga.
I'm over the moon to perform an intimate set at the beautiful grand piano in Krause Recital Hall. AND for the first time ever, I'll be pairing my musical performance with original video crafted from my art, lyrics and other found footage.
From the Delaware Valley Arts Alliance Site: "On Saturday, April 8th at 2 PM, our 2023 Salon Series culminates with a kaleidoscopic performance of music & video by Andrea Wittgens. The singer-songwriter & visual artist will perform on the grand piano in Krause Hall, debuting an original video installation accompaniment to her music. Wittgens, whose style pulls from pop and jazz to early punk, offers references to Joni Mitchel, Tori Amos, and even Patti Smith, all the while creating a sound all her own. DVAA is grateful to be a part of Wittgens’ debut of this multi-media performance. The synthesis of sound, lyrics and visual art creates an exclamation point to the end of our 2023 Salon Series."
I'll be playing a full acoustic set of songs (and joined by guest vocalist Lena Kaminsky!) at Eco Evolution's Sober Social. Music, Mocktails, Lite Bites and entry is free! Come join us.
I'm trying something new this month. It's an exclusive Livestream Concert broadcast directly from my Patreon page this Sunday July 24th at 8pm EST.
So if you are not yet a Patron but have been considering joining the party, you can do so here in time for the show: https://www.patreon.com/andreawittgens. Patrons get to bring up to 2 guests to the show and I'm taking song requests as I craft the setlist over the next few days - so fire away!
Aside from special events like these, I post a new creation every month essentially giving Patrons a front row seat to art as it happens...Songs so fresh the ink has barely dried, lyric art pieces, behind-the-scenes videos and I have much more planned for the coming months.
Subscriptions are as low as just a few dollars a month, and as I head towards my first full-length album in over a decade (!!!), this support is a game-changer. I love Patreon because it's such a low stress, but very meaningful way to make a direct impact on independent music.
So, that's my pitch! I hope you'll join me for the show and ensuing adventures. https://www.patreon.com/andreawittgens
For the first time, Meghan Rose and I are combining forces to create a collaborative set featuring songs from both of our catalogs (and, of course, new musical experiments). And we are really excited to be debuting this experiment in the coziest of cozy rooms, the OG Rockwood: Stage 1 where we'll all be so close you'll get a contact high from the vocal harmonies.
I'm so happy to be back at the Tambourine Lounge with new songs and new art. Plus this time, I'll have some very special guests joining me. Stay tuned for details!
Excited to be a special guest at the Craig Greenberg band show at Culture Lab (what a FANTASTIC art space). I'll be playing a solo set on their beautiful grand at 8pm sharp. Come hear original music while looking at art surrounded by visual art while sipping wine or beer (available by donation). This is a really special place, hope you can make it! Culture Lab covid policy: “Guests must show proof of full vaccination and agree to wear a mask for the duration of the performance.”
